“The Dog” alludes to mixed emotions and loss of integrity which follows liberation from something that has “imprisoned” us for a long time. The dog is confined in a transparent cage which shows that breaking free from the chain despite being physically liberating did not set it free from its broken psyche. The background was inspired by the “Ground Zero” album cover by Pro8l3m. In terms of perspective, the painting is strongly influenced by a Korean artist Kim Jung Gi.
