I used acrylic paint and ordinary paint brushes for this painting. I also used tape to create the straight lines. This painting has many levels and can mean different things to many different people, the stage curtains, the the chess board, the puppets, etc… They all have meanings that may very from person to person. To me it is supposed to question how much control people actually have in society, and if we aren’t in charge, who is? But it also has many other meanings added to it. The curtain represents the way the people in society are always acting, and the chess board represents the world as a game.

Hadley Raymond is currently a student attending Father John Redmond's regional art program. Her work takes a look at who is truly in charge of people's daily lives. She spends her afternoons experimenting with new art styles and mediums.
