Wir lernen durch Beobachten. Beobachten hat etwas mit Aufmerksamkeit und mit Prozessen im Gedächtnis zu tun. Stell dir vor, dusitzt in einer Wiese, um diese zu malen. Du überlegst in welcher Richtung auffälliges zu entdecken ist. Du richtest dich auch. Es entsteht eine Wahrnehmung für das Grobe, dann auf immer feinere und kleinere Details. Du hast das Gefühl, es fehlt etwas. Etwas, was vor Jahren anders war. Du beginnst deine Sinne zu motivieren. Bis dir auffällt. Es fehlt das Summen, die Insekten, die von Blume zu Blume springen.
Beobachten schafft Ruhe, einen fokussierten Blick und stimuliert die Sinne. Es entwickelt sich eine innere Haltung für das Objekt. Du beginnst du analysieren und den Gegenstand wahrzunehmen, zu beschreiben.
Ich habe festgestellt, dass malen ein Hilfsmittel für das Beobachten ist. Ich habe festgestellt, dass ich eine Hemmschwelle zu überwinden habe, um die Beobachtung auf ein Papier zu bringen. Und ich muss sagen, ich erwarte kein gutes Bild. Ich erwarte von mir nur, die Zeit und Ruhe zu finden, um zu beobachten und ein erstes Bild entsteht in deinen Gedanken

Learning by observing. Observation has something to do with attention and with processes in memory. Imagine you're sitting in a meadow to paint it. You think about the direction in which you can discover something conspicuous. You get in position. There is a perception of the big, then ever finer and smaller details. You feel like something is missing. Something that was different some years ago. You begin to motivate your senses. Until you notice. It lacks the buzzing, the insects jumping from flower to flower.
Observing creates calm, a focused gaze and stimulates the senses. An inner attitude for the object develops. You begin to analyze and perceive the object, to describe it and a first image arises in your thoughts
I have found that painting is a tool for observation. I have found that I have to overcome an inhibition threshold in order to put the observation on paper. And I have to say, I don't expect a good picture. I just expect myself to find the time and peace to observe.
