Warum handeln wir nicht Umweltgerecht, auch wenn wir es wissen? Warum zeigen wir so wenig Bereitschaft, trotz der Einstellung, dass wir etwas tun müssen? Warum ist das neue Auto größer und leistungsstärker als das alte, obwohl wir glauben, dass die Grenzen des Wachstums erreicht ist? Ist unser Streben nach Wohlbefinden größer als unsere eigene Umwelt, in der wir leben? Ist es zu unbequem unser routiniertes Alltagshandeln zu verändern?
Ich bin mir sicher, große und kleine Künstler haben großartige Bilder zu diesen Differenzen geschaffen. Der Gegensatz von logischem Wissen und Handeln, soziales Wohlbefinden und Armut können kreative Ideen für Bilder schaffen. Climate Art möchte zum Nachdenken anregen.

Why don't we act in an environmentally friendly way, even if we know it? Why do we show so little willingness, despite the attitude that we have to do something? Why is the new car bigger and more powerful than the old one, even though we believe that the limits of growth have been reached? Is our pursuit of well-being greater than our own environment in which we live? Is it too uncomfortable to change our routine everyday actions?
I'm sure, artists big and small, have created great images about these differences. The contrast of logical knowledge and action, social well-being and poverty can create creative ideas for images. Climate Art wants to make people think.
