I primi giorni di marzo, appare sulla facciata della chiesa milanese di San Paolo Converso la bandiera con la scritta “la paura mangia l’anima”: l’intento è quello di incitare i cittadini al coraggio, di esortarli a resistere al tempo sospeso che ha sigillato la città in uno stato di paura. Anche in quest’occasione, il lavoro di Tiravanija assume una valenza sociale, promuovendo il coinvolgimento e l’inclusione come unico modo per combattere l’angoscia e l’incertezza.

At the beginning of March, the flag with the inscription "fear eats the soul" appears on the facade of the Milanese church of San Paolo Converso: the intent is to incite citizens to courage, to urge them to resist the suspended time that has sealed the city in a state of fear. Also in this occasion, the work of Tiravanija takes on a social value, promoting involvement and inclusion as the only way to face anxiety and uncertainty.
