Kentridge è autore e protagonista del video “Counting Seconds”, tratto dalla serie “The long minute”. Nelle sequenze, l’artista si aggira per il proprio studio, scandendo con i passi il tempo che sembra non scorrere mai. Improvvisamente, la sua figura si sdoppia: due Kentridge si siedono, si guardano intorno, si rialzano, si schiaffeggiano il viso con le mani e contano sulle dita i secondi che (non)passano.

Kentridge is the author and protagonist of the video “Counting Seconds”, taken from the series “The long minute”. In the sequences, the artist wanders through his studio, marking with his steps a time that never seems to flow. Suddenly, his figure splits into two: “two Kentridges” sit down, look around, stand up, slap their faces with their hands and count on their fingers the seconds that (do not) pass.
