Plaster, wood plank base, acrylic paint, shoe polish
An in-the-round installation artwork made of plaster representing the frailty and futility of conflict, and the preparation for it. Inspired by the over 750,000 military bunkers in Albania, and the prevalence of dome-shaped architecture in history. Sensitising on Proto- and Indo-Islamic dome-shaped architecture, e.g. Dome of the Rock shrine (Jerusalem) & Mausoleum of Rukn-e-Alam (Pakistan), a similarity in form yet disparity in military defense function with the religious function of the shrine.
