ARTIST STATEMENT
Born in Bari in 1966, Salvatore Barra discovered from an early age an innate talent for painting. He began to study his favorite painters: Picasso, Van Gogh, Salvador Dalí and Antonio Ligabue. In 2014 as a self-taught artist he began to experiment with digital art, creating original and personal techniques, painting with acrylic colors and mixed techniques, on various supports. He photographs the work or some details, in order to create digital art and digital pictorial sculpture, processing the photographic shot with different photo retouching programs.
