After analyzing "Aftermath of Obliteration of Eternity" by Yayoi Kusama, I was inspired to display the cycle of life and death and represent light as the way for immortal souls into the otherworld as translated by the title meaning light. The use of lotus flowers mimics the Thai light festival in Loy Krathong while the use of mirrors induces infinity and an alternate reality, as in melancholy the soul is separated from the body, therefore being immortal and unable to experience a natural death.
