Cloak: Changing Perceptions , 2022
180 x 260 x 2 cm (h x w x d)

We are going on a trip. This is a story about veterans and civilians from across the globe working collaboratively to help bring society together and to change perceptions about veterans. From Hawaii to London to Costa Rica, from Washington to Oregon and back to Seattle, this global network of participants created personally meaningful messages and artwork representing the veteran experience, the civilian experience, and a reminder that together we are stronger. These are stories of resilience, survival, family, lose, and love. This is a quilted blanket representation of human connection and empathy. A blanket that protects and comforts. The physical and emotional coming together into one work - a stronger unit, a platoon of portraits - with strength to thrive, not just survive.
