Artist Biography
Joanne Price is the founder/artist of Starpointe Studio; Wood Engravers’ Network President Emeritus (2014–2020). Teaching: University of Kentucky, Highpoint Center for Printmaking; John C. Campbell Folk School. Collections: Guangdong Museum of Art (China), Museu da Casa Xilogravura (Brazil), Walker Art Center (MN), Yale University (CT).

Description of Process
This set of stamps with first-day-of-issue postcard was done with type ornaments, metal and wood type, photopolymer (Starpointe Studio logo) plus engraving on wood and plastic (Zinnia, sunflower, goldfinch, sunflower seeds, raccoon, praying mantis, and ‘seed’ typography element on postcard). These were the results of Jessica Spring’s “Printing, By Gum” virtual class through Partners In Print, October and November 2022.
