Artist Biography
Cabaret Typographie is a letterpress shop based in Milan: a handicraft studio with an experimental attitude, a true passion for graphic design, and a fascination for fonts. The three members of the team are graphic designer enthusiasts.
Description of Process
For the QUADERNI (Notebooks) exhibition, held by @bonvini1909 in 2022, we designed and printed the Eat Pray Write Love poster. Visually interpreting the idea of the notebook was not easy. But what could be more distin,ctive than pages to browse or fill with scribbles, homework and notes? We therefore thought of working with the idea of bound sheets and thus designed letters that visually reminded us of them.
This poster was digitally designed, with each letter piece laser cut from plywood.
