This artwork shows four different masks that appear to float effortlessly within a pale, sky-blue background. It is a bright picture of clearly defined colours. The faces are yellow, green and multi coloured, and each one is very distinctive. They are a mixture of portraits and profiles which either look out to the viewer or toward to each other.

Not much is known about the artist as few records exist, but she undoubtedly has a brilliant gift for making art.

I am drawn to this image because each mask is unique. They are playful, diverse, questioning and knowing. I want to wear these masks and feel how they look.
