Human bottles , 2023
150 x 150 x 2 cm (h x w x d)
Plastic & paper

The work stems from a reflection inherent in the contemporary climate situation, starting from an awareness of inadequate recycling measures and continued human plastic waste. The main element of the artwork is the Pfand stations, placed in Germany within supermarkets and retail stores where customers can return empty beverage containers, such as bottles and cans, in exchange for a deposit refund, known as "Pfand" in German.
And if in the future, it were us humans to be recycled?
In fact, scientific knowledge and research have demonstrated the presence of microplastics in the human body, specifically in some organs such as gastrointestinal tract, feces and blood.
Through the concretization of this dystopia, a feeling of disorientation is conveyed to the viewer, who will be able to interact with the physical materiality of the plastic bottle, which is the output of the machine, and its nutritional values.
