Performance, Board Game

90% of Amazon drivers resign within less than a year, which is not surprising considering the extremely stressful working conditions. The algorithm sets the unhuman pace that drivers need to cope with, market rules dictate low wages for these workers, and human interactions are kept to a bare minimum. AMAZONY is thus the antithesis of MONOPOLY – the goal of the game is not to accumulate wealth - the only objective is to stay sane by keeping mental health high enough. And playing the game shows how hard this is to achieve…

We should have a say in how the world works, and the rules of the game should not be focused on profit maximization, but also consider working conditions and their consequences on mental health. So it is up to us to decide how we are keeping score, what is our playground and what are the rules by which we want to play. If we don’t like the existing rules then we need to change them.
