A reinterpretation of the Ancient Greek red-figured vase Boreas Pursues Oreithyia in the National Archaeological Museum and contemporary artwork The City by Daniel Gounaridis in the Greek National Gallery. Boreas, god of the North Wind, instead of chasing Oreithyia is chasing himself in an endless loop. The worm’s-eye cityscape background, conveying contemporary society, where the identical monochromatic Boreas is superimposed, is a commentary on the prevalence of narcissism to this day.
