Korean War (1950-1953)

The Korean War erupted in June 1950 when North Korean forces invaded South Korea. Backed by the United Nations, predominantly the United States, South Korea resisted the invasion. The conflict saw intense battles and a stalemate along the 38th parallel. The war ended in an armistice in 1953, leaving Korea divided and setting the stage for ongoing tensions between North and South.
