A young girl finds solace and safety in the comforting embrace of a loved one. She was among the thousands of children who were injured during the 2023 earthquakes in Syria and Turkey (officially the Republic of Türkiye), which tragically claimed the lives of over 55,000 people. According to the United Nations, an estimated 3.7 million children have been affected. In the year since the earthquakes struck, World Vision has provided critical support to more than 1.8 million people, including over 1,340 children who have participated in psychological support sessions in schools.
