Anastassia, a professional artist and graphic designer from Ukraine, shares the healing power of art with Ukrainian children at a psychosocial center in Moldova managed by World Vision’s local partner Communitas. Through Anastassia’s simple painting masterclasses, children displaced by the war in Ukraine get to experience moments of creativity and joy. And as their teacher, Anastassia witnesses a shift in the children’s well-being when they participate. “Drawing helps their brain focus and reduces tension,” she says. “They become calmer.”
