I am a Clearwater artist, diversified in many mediums, currently focusing on colored pencils and pastels. I have always been fascinated by the Aztec culture, and having attended many Native American Festivals, I was inspired to create Voice of the Flame Keeper. The Flame Keeper has a specific ceremonial role, common in the religious practices of a variety of cultures. A flame keeper, fire keeper or flame tender tends the sacred fire in the manner specific to spiritual traditions of that culture.
