This piece was designed in honour of the talented Frida Kahlo. Ms. Kahlo became a woman’s and animal’s right advocate : she shared her life with various animal : two monkeys, a parrot, three dogs, two turkeys, an eagle, a fawn, and a black cat. Specially attached to her black cat due to the prejudice and animal cruelty they would face due to superstitions. I decided to honour her mindset by representing how her beloved animal would see her, using the visible colour spectrum of the feline group.
