Graphite on Paper

I wanted to ask the question: how can we remain linked to “home”? This graphite composition is inspired by the contents of family suitcases returning from the US, giving way to the idea that certain products and items are a way to make a foreign place more familiar. With the most mundane staples of home transforming into something sacred, and special due to our connection to it. Leading me to reflect on how lucky we are today, to be able to take a piece of home with us wherever we go.
