Artist statement:
Mindfulness and mental health are the central themes of my work. I seek to propose a response to the overstimulating reality in which we live not by provocation, but by a feeling of joyful serenity. Thus, my paintings are a representation of a colorful place in which one can find space for dreaming and remain balanced despite the external noise.
My way of achieving this vision is a structured approach to abstraction inspired by sculpture and minimalism. Experimenting with composition and color theory concepts helps me to infuse calm into my paintings, which are otherwise fruits of intuition and feelings.
The sharp look in each form materializes with the accumulation of several layers of painting, making them stand out of the canvas, almost in a 3D display.
