If you are heading west seeing the foothills is a sure indication you are aiming in the right direction. Much as I enjoyed my many visits to relatives in Manitoba along with my pleasure in the prairie landscape, as someone who really loves home, approaching the Rockies always got me excited since that told me we were close to the last leg of the journey.
