My focuses on what is perfectly imperfect, to subtly show how there is complexity in simplicity. It's naked and stripped but also full and bodied, with minimalistic iconography to allow the viewer to colour in their own narrative. There is a deliberate choice to use only black ink to depict the essence of the work. By leaving it bare, with minimal variables and distractions, she is inviting the viewer to interact with how the images make them feel. I find value in obscure juxtapositions emphasized in the ecosystem of interactions between biotic and abiotic matter. There is a reciprocal relationship between different forms, a life cycle that speaks to how organisms can interact on a cellular, social, and psychological level. I’d like the view to pay attention to how the images make them feel.
