ARTIST BIO

My name is Amanda Adamczyk. I’m a 33 year old mom of two based in GA. I’ve been creating ever since I could first draw as a young child. My medium and style has changed through time and led me into now figural abstract self portrait pieces. I create so I can transmute the negative beliefs in my mind into positives!

ARTIST STATEMENT

I paint with acrylics to create my figurative works. I apply paint onto my body and use myself as a “stamp”. I become my own muse in this way. Having experienced body dysmorphia stemming from the male gaze and beauty standards I take back my power I feel I have lost through time. My purpose is to find beauty in what I believe is ugly. My purpose is for my children to accept and love their bodies, and to reach strangers that have struggled like me to express through my art to see the beauty in your physical form.
