Climate Wall
Digital art photography

Location: Grenada

"Seacoast crying for help; the photo attached depicts the impact of Climate Change to the devastation to nature and the environment to the fishermen in a negative way. The ragging wind caused the sea water to rush into the shoreline and beat upon the coastline leaving the coconut tree roots exposed. Trees bowing asking for mercy, yet the waves refused to acknowledge them. The livelihood was disrupted since their boats, engines, nets, and equipment were destroyed; even the area for mending the torn nets. The area becomes inaccessible. Fewer fish were caught to sustain their families.

However, the villagers came together and replanted trees to rebuild the shoreline.
Imagine these fisher folks inherited the area from their former fisher folks from generation to
generation. Having to migrate from this unique area where they married was so heart-breaking.
Nevertheless, understanding climate change and its effects, the fishermen planned skillfully and relocated to another area."
