Why Don’t You Take A Bite From The Forbidden Fruit? II , 2020/21
100 x 80 x 2 cm (h x w x d)
Oil on canvas

The second canvas contains a provocative, sensual depiction of a female figure, inspired by Von Stuck's "Sin". A demonic figure is towering over her, exuding phantom subconscious threat. Combined with the Biblical imagery, this creates ambiguity and conflict in the piece: the enticing against the wicked. Saturated complementary colors make up a stark contrast, and the bold, curvilinear brushstrokes form the Art Nouveau -inspired plants, adding expressiveness and dynamic.
