An accomplished photographer, Florez has made a name for herself with both commercial and fine art projects. She driven by a curiosity to explore light and perception, using the medium of photography and film to explore notions of the sublime, transformation and universal aspects of the human condition.

The Chasing the Light Series has become the cornerstone of my photographic practice. This piece “Lightform in Blue Brown & White” began my search for the expansion of light & time within the moment of capture. The millisecond of time following a curious moment has expanded into a lifelong pursuit. This abstract moment in time was created with cardboard, light, a blue gel & 4x5 digital camera.
