-Most famous for his war memorail poem "In Flanders Fields"

Poems during WW2:
-mostly written by former soldiers -other poems written by civilians, editors and journalists working at home
- Poems focussed on horror, sacrifice of the conflicts, but some were written to distract and forget about the evil.
