Two crew members wait to board 4–8–4 no. 6258 on the ready track in the engine terminal area at Brockville, Ontario. Shaughnessy routinely asked railroaders to pose in his images. He was interested in trying to replicate scenes he had previously seen, always striving for naturalism. Here two railroaders stand still while the photographer makes a thirty–second time exposure with his 4 x 5 Speed Graphic.
