The work is inspired by the idea of spiritual journeys or pilgrimages in the landscape. It focuses on the unseen qualities of place in the landscapes I know such as energy lines or currents such as those elusive ley lines. There is a correlation with indigenous Australian ideas of song lines and a connection with the land that transcends any specific time. The colours relate to rock art as seen in Australia and Lascaux in France but the view is clouded somehow with a veil of black like tree branches or dark matter that obscure the view.
