ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
Portrait of My Boyfriend After Quarantine is one in a series of images that were produced by digitally manipulating an original oil painting, in this case a portrait. The manipulations include coding and displacement maps, but it was the most simple, dragging the image with my finger, that best captured the moment this work was created. The original, created three years ago, reflected optimism with the title “King of New York.” This, completed in 2021, captured the frustrations of the times.

Please note - the actual physical dimensions of this piece are 24 x 18 inches (h x w). The relative size of this work has been adjusted for the purposes of the virtual gallery presentation.
