"Disintegration" is an exploration of the disintegration of the identity and soul revealed through the separation of the feathers from the wing. While wings stand for freedom and the ability to fly away from negative experiences. By having the wing fall apart this freedom is compromised and ephemerality is expressed. This can be seen as the result of melancholy but also as the separation between the German and Japanese part of my identity.
