Festival of Arts Purchase Award
FOAPAC #2010.109
Jacquie Moffett came to love art through her father, who sketched, worked in pastels, and cut family Christmas cards in linoleum blocks. With him, she visited the Festival of Arts as a young girl, and decided then that she wished to be a participant when she grew up. After receiving her BA from Whittier College, Jacquie began a teaching career. Inspired by a film illustrating Rex Brandt’s watercolor techniques, she signed up for Brandt’s summer workshops. She has exhibited in the Festival of Arts since 1967 and continues to paint in Laguna Beach.
