Study of 3 figures , 2020
Oil, Oil sticks and acrylic on canvas
[CC2021-04]

My work explores the relationship between distorted figures and emotional memories. With influences as diverse as Francis Bacon, Van Gogh, Dali and Rembrandt. New synergies are created from both traditional and modern layers. My paintings are a raw manifestations of my sensations, imaginations and mood. I treat human forms and backgrounds in an almost abstract expressionism so imagination, sensation, bold colours and subconscious memories are all depicted at the same time. As spatial impressions become clarified through emergent and diverse practice. The viewer is left with inaccuracies of human condition.
