Artist Statement

I grew up with a camera constantly in my hands to be able to capture anything and everything I see. A single image has many stories to be told or can be told, that is the art I want to create.

I thought my work would mainly be based on portrait and life style photography. After stepping into the learning and technical aspects of photography, I discovered the world of commercial photography. Being able to create an image using anything laying around and trying new ideas and shots is what makes photography so unique and fun. That is what “The Blast of Goodness” is about. Colour, fun, a blast.

Only using Lindt chocolate and orange slices, I wanted to create something simple yet different, eye catching yet giving the viewer the thought of the taste. An image that was at first for an assignment, turned into an image I am proud of. A story behind the image.

As a photographer, an artist, my work is to create a photograph to relive a memory, a photograph that people can hear when looking at the image, a single photograph to remember the taste and the thought of that image. I want people to know that art, my art.
