Richard's Headshot & Biography

I joined the U.S. Army in 2005. I was a water purification specialist. When discharged from the Army, I was a sergeant/E5.

I have always been active in some sort of art. My first love is music, and I started guitar lessons when I was about 10 years old. My second love is comedy, but painting is a whole different way of expressing myself.

I began painting in about 2017, where I found it as a relaxing, meditative way to create.

Art has made such an amazing impact on my life. It is something that I look forward to doing, giving me something to wake up for.

I plan to bring some meditative pouring art paintings to the Art Expo. I had an art instructor, Clenys Medina, who worked with me for a few years, but since the pandemic, alot changed in my world. So,of late, my mother has been encouraging me to paint.

My favorite is pouring art.
