Robert's Headshot & Biography

I served in the Army for 26 years. My deployments include Bosnia, Macedonia, and Afghanistan, among others. I served in both mechanized and light infantry.

I have been painting figures for tabletop games and love trying to make my figures as realistic looking as I can.
Painting helps me by working on eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills.

It takes a lot of focus to paint small figures and cognition to learn new painting techniques. I get into a zone painting at night. I get to participate in a model group once a week, which helps me with socialization with others and learning new styles of modeling.

I also design my own glass-blowing projects and make them with the help of my glass instructor, Kelly Robertson, in his studio. This is helping me learn a new skill set and bringing my imagination to life. Glass-blowing can be very dangerous, but my instructor keeps me safe and patiently teaches me to build in unique ways.

I am bringing some blown-glass pieces I made at Calvary Glass Studio and some painted figures I did at home.
