paper cut sculpture
The installation extends up the wall, suggesting fluidity and motion to the right, symbolizing the non-linear and evolving nature of memory and recall. Using black and white hues, mirroring how many perceive dreams, the sculpture connects to the surrealism theme prevalent in my subsequent work. The form of the sculpture appears to resemble a sort of hurricane structure, to link to the idea of my memory being in disarray. Entrapment is also explored through the cutouts resembling gaps in a cage.
