Gilded Cage , 2024
25 x 25 x 37 cm (h x w x d)
Wire Sculpture

This work is meant to show our internal struggle. By creating a cage out of wire and covering it with gold foil I hope the viewer sees how we can trap ourselves in something that may appear great while reality is different. The paper mache head is meant to desire an escape, and its incompleteness is there to showcase the struggle with one's mind, not just the exterior conflicts. It challenges the ability of our own minds to exaggerate or reduce circumstances.
