Mia , 2023
40 x 30 cm (h x w)
Acrylic on canvas

This painting comments on the inherent meaninglessness of beauty standards due to the base nature, the skeleton, remaining unchanged regardless of perceived beauty. The composition was inspired by vintage hosiery posters, and features a similar coyness to the pose. The vivid colors and pose act to represent polarized discourse on a human issue, which further portrays the importance of disregarding typical notions of beauty.
