Negatives , 2024
36 x 50 cm (h x w)
Watercolor on paper

This piece represents how the modern day family exists in a state of separation, leaving lingering effects on all its members. The inspiration from this piece came from Victorian portraiture and their stoic presentation of a traditional family. Leading me to think about the modern family’s sense of connection whilst living in a highly work focused culture. I implore viewers to think about the way work is viewed as for the family but how it may inevitably lead to its collapse.
