Paint me to who I am, not who you want to be me; serve me with my natural liberty, don’t circumscribe me in your given or caged liberty. I feel that “the liberty given not equates the very essence of liberty lived” or in other words liberty given by someone, doesn’t have essence of freedom in it, rather it feels like if liberty is given; the freedom is itself caged in it and this kind of liberty is not a natural liberty lived.

“PAINT ME TO WHO I AM, NOT WHO YOU WANT ME TO”
PAINT ME IN DEEP RED COLOURS OF LOVE;
SO THAT I MAY HIDE THE RED RASHES OF DOMINANCE THAT YOU COLOURED,
PAINT ME BLUE; LIKE THE NEW SKY OF EVERY MORNING I MISSED,
PAINT ME WITH THE SOIL, TO RECONNECT MY SLEF TO MY SOUL,
PAINT ME GREEN, TO ROOT MY SELF LIKE A GRASS,
PAINT ME PINK, TO RELIVE THE SWEET EMOTIONS I MISSED,
PAINT ME WITH A SUN RAYS, TO PEEL MY SKIN AND SHATTER MY OLD RUSTY PEAL,
PAINT WITH BLACK, TO KNOW HOW MY DARKNESS OVERPOWERED ME,
PAINT ME WHITE, FOR THE PEACE I HAVE BEEN LIVING A LONG LIKE A DEAD,
PAINT ME IN THE CHECKS OF BLACK AND WHITE,
I’LL STILL BE THE SAME AND FIGHT,
PAINT ME, WITH MY NATURAL LIBERTY,
TO SHATTER THE OLD CAGES OF GIVEN LIBERTY,
PAINT ME WITH ANY COLOUR YOU HAVE, BUT DON’T EXPECT THE PAINTING YOU WANT,
LET ME EXPRESS THE GLOW OF EVERY COLOUR ON MY SOUL TO NOW WHO I AM.
TANU KAPOOR, pursuing law at “Rajiv Gandhi National University of law, Patiala, Punjab (ranked among the top 10 in ranking of law institutions by national institutional ranking framework (nirf) 2019)”; while also establishing herself as an author, artist, painter researcher, blogger, healer & astrologer, she quotes her experience into words and express the lyrics of the world into her poems, Art, articles and other research work. She is in “National cadet corps (NCC)”: The Youth Wing of Army, as she is a proud Indian and wants to motivate the youth of India towards the thought of secular India and peaceful world, to promote the idea of discipline for better and aligned life. She embrace the concept that rest, recovery and refection are essential parts of the progress towards a successful and ultimately happy life and she says that destroy the idea that you have to be constantly working or grinding in order to be successful.
