Art during WW2

During the time of World War II, war, death and camps were all a common theme in art. During WW2, paintings mailny showed the disastrous aspects of war, instead of glorifying it.
The art works were also supposed to give hope to scared and innocent people. An example of a painting is the work of a british painter, Paul Nash- "Battle of britain" in 1941. He represented a scene of aerial combat between British and German fighters. The painting attempts to summarize the Battle of Brittain as a whole and the victory of Britain.
