Memories

I joined the Army straight out of high school because I needed the money for college. After my first enlistment I got out and started my family. I went back in following the September 11th attacks on America. I was injured in Iraq February 1st, 2011. I retired November 30th, 2013.

I started to create artwork in 2021 after the virtual art event that WWP put on. It re-sparked an interest and started to do art therapy with Craig Todd. He has been working with me and work has improved since starting.

I rediscovered art, specifically painting while seeking a way to handle depression and anxiety. Has helped deal with my injury, my recovery, retirement and adjusting to my new way of life.

I continue to create several sketches, some card pencil work, and pen and ink work.

Favorite type of genre to create is traditional art work [birds, natures, and landscapes].
