Michael is married with four children (two stepchildren). He currently lives in Burleson, Texas, with his wife (also his caregiver), cat, and service dog.

Born in California, he was a military brat to a major in the Air Force of 25 years of service. His family relocated every three years to a new location, and he believes this naturally caused him to want to serve his country.

He medically retired from the Army after 13 years of service. He was deployed to the Middle East twice, and his last deployment to Iraq cost him a severe brain injury.

Michael has tried many therapies with different veteran’s organizations to cope with PTSD, seizures, and his traumatic brain injury.

Just in the past few years, Michael has found photography as his primary therapeutic art outlet.

Michael is inspired by showing others how amazing America is through his photos.
