Confined
42.1 x 29.8 cm (h x w)
pencil and pencil crayon

Drawing on Louise Bourgeois' 'Spider (Cell),' my piece portrays entrapment through spiders. The girl's pain reveals mental confinement through the surreal elements illustrating fear invading her thoughts. The spider represents both fear and the invisible cage's foundation. Shaped like a sphere, emphasized by the fisheye lens effect, it underscores the sense of confinement.
