A game
monochrome, silent film

Influenced by surrealism, I crafted a monochrome silent film to convey themes of impossibility and fantasy. The choice of an empty pool as the setting symbolizes a surreal void, while mirrored ink masks represent instinctual creation. The use of automatic drawing, though mirrored, imparts a sense of control akin to the surrealist group Oulipo's constrained approach to art. Characters engage in a card game using cards crafted under the Oulipian constraint S+7.
